Mobile operators win 2.6 GHz frequencies for LTE in Austria

The Austrian Regulatory Authority for Broadcasting and Telecommunications (RTR) has completed its auction of frequencies in the 2.6 GHz band. The total proceeds from the auction came to €39.53 million - less than the amount generated in the Danish 2.6 GHz auction, but more than the Dutch auction and far exceeding the overall minimum bid amount of €7.4 million.
