Growing support for LTE in the 450 MHz band

FCC removes spectrum sensing requirement for white space devices

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has eliminated the requirement that white space devices sense the presence of TV channels but the commercial success of white space applications remains unclear.

Brazil announces Latin America’s first multiband auction

Brazil is to hold a "super auction" of spectrum consisting of 165 licences in five different bands, including provision for two new national licences and the possibility of a new market entrant. The auction will start on December 15.

Supreme Court upholds Thai 3G auction freeze

Thailand's 3G auction, which was scheduled to start earlier this week, has been put on hold indefinitely after the Supreme Court today (September 23) upheld the injunction imposed last week by a lower court.
